How much batter do you put in a mini muffin pan? ›

The recommended amount of batter to fill a mini cupcake liner is 1 tablespoon. And as is the case with a regular cupcake, the liner should be filled ⅔ of the way full to avoid flat tops.

We currently offer the 3 most popular sizes; mini (1” inch), standard (2” inches) and jumbo (2.5” inches).

To check your muffin pan's capacity, for a mini muffin pan pour 1 1/2 tablespoons (30ml) water into 1 hole in your pan. If the water comes right to the top (with none left over) it is 1 1/2 tablespoon capacity.

Mini muffin tins will hold between ⅛ and ¼ cup (1 to 2 oz / 30 to 60 ml) each of batter and will make 24 muffins.

Mini muffin liners are available, but your mini muffins are probably better off without them. The small muffin cavities on a mini pan are easy to grease with butter or vegetable oil, creating a nonstick surface for your muffin batter.

Most standard baking cups measure 2" x 1 1/4" and are commonly used for traditional-sized cupcakes or muffins. Mini baking cups with a 1" diameter can be used for presenting chocolate-covered cherries or caramels, and 3 1/2" diameter jumbo baking cups can be used for gorgeous gourmet cupcakes.

We recommend one standard-sized cupcake per guest. If you prefer minis, we suggest two to three minis per guest. What flavors do you suggest? Most couples prefer our more popular center-filled cupcakes.

If muffins are left exposed, the moisture starts to leak from them and they dry out. To store muffins up to 4 days, line an airtight container or zip-lock bag with paper towel and store the muffins in a single layer. Place another layer of paper towel on top of the muffins as well.

Typically, baking cups are designed in 3 different sizes: Mini: 0.4-1 ounce. Standard: 2-3 ounces. Large: 4-5 ounces.

After baking, let the muffins cool for at least 15 minutes. Take a butter knife and run it around the outside of each muffin to loosen it from the tin. When you have done this to all, turn the tin upside down and shake gently. The muffins should come out fairly easily.

For the mini muffins, I would definitely stick with the #60 scoop. It holds one tablespoon of batter and made the perfect little cupcakes.

Place a cupcake liner into each slot on a cupcake pan.

Push each liner down gently so it sits snuggly in the pan. Most pans have 12 slots for cupcakes. If you're making more than this, use more pans. A pan for making mini cupcakes will probably have more than 12 slots.
