After spending the last few weeks researching by scouring through old newspapers, reading the encyclopedia, watching the discovery channel and finding my dad’s old car magazines (with a few that are not for the Mrs to see) I’m ready to reveal all the cars and brands that come with the L innitials.

Lagonda

Lagonda was founded in 1906 by Wilbur Gunn in the UK. Ever since 1947 it’s been owned by Aston Martin. Lagonda is known for creating luxurious cars. After being taken over by Aston Martin, it has been dormant and reappeared in different years.

Lamborghini

Leyland

Leyland has a colorful past and multiple name changes. It was founded in 1896 in Leyland, England, United Kingdom. And they focused on creating lorries, busses and trolleybuses. When it merged with British Motor Holdings, it offered its name the Leyland. In 1986 it changed its name again into Rover Group.

Lifan

Lifan was founded in 1992 by Yin Mingshan in Chongqing, China. Initially they were creating motorcycles and since 2005 they have been producing their own economy vehicles like micro vans and small sedans.
