Why is T-Mobile internet not working? ›

Troubleshoot no signal or "no service" errors

Turn off Wi-Fi to make sure you're using the T-Mobile network. Set the device Network mode to Auto. Remove any cases or covers from the device. Update the device software to the latest version.

Powering off your device for at least 5 minutes will guarantee the connection to the network is refreshed on the network when it reconnects.

Choose T-Mobile Internet and log in. Under Connection status, the connection between the device on which you are using the app, the Wi-Fi gateway, and the Internet is displayed. Under Connection quality, the signal strength is displayed.

T-Mobile 5G Hotspot

Insert a smartphone's SIM tool or a straightened paper clip into the reset pin hole and gently press the reset key for 10 seconds. The T-Mobile 5G Hotspot will reset to factory default and restart automatically. Alternatively, you can perform a reset using the Web UI.

Restart your device.

It might sound simple, but sometimes that's all it takes to fix a bad connection. If restarting doesn't work, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data: Open your Settings app and tap Network and Internet or Connections. Depending on your device, these options may be different.

If you've been avoiding updates, this could contribute to your cellular data issues. It's worth checking if there's an available update and getting your device on the latest OS. Reset network settings: If your network settings have been changed or otherwise corrupted, it could cause issues with your cellular data.

Android: In the Settings app, search for "reset" or more specifically "reset network settings" and tap on the setting. On the Pixel, the setting is called Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth. After you reset your network settings, remember to reconnect your phone to your home and work Wi-Fi networks.

While Down detector is undoubtedly a useful tool, it also has its limitations. It heavily relies on user-generated reports, which may not always be accurate or timely.
